Andrea Minniear Cherney

Andrea's unique combination of methodical thinking and imagination inspires her development and implementation of the Energy Center's online resources and programs. Her breadth of experience began with traditional library and information organization when she was hired in 1994 to expand the Energy Center's collection.
Andrea leads the Energy Center's digital strategy, applying her skills in information architecture and project management to guide the development of websites, content management systems and virtual case studies. She also directs the Energy Center's award-winning webinar process. Andrea is particularly attuned to the human element of her work, making websites as accessible as possible and steadily growing the Energy Center's community of online learners.
Andrea has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Oberlin College and a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is an active member of the Special Libraries Association, managing the website and discussion list for the Wisconsin Chapter.
