GET READY FOR LIVE WEBINARS
Live webinars are streamed from Madison, Wisconsin (Central Timezone). Visit the world clock for other timezones. Audio and video are delivered through your computer. No telephone required.
Please follow these guidelines to set up your Windows or Mac computer to view webcasts:
- You must be connected to the Internet with a cable modem or broadband connection (256kbps or above).
- Turn your speakers on and un-mute your computer.

Our on-demand webcasts and live webinars, which use Mediasite technology, can be viewed through virtually any web browser. These webcasts offer a combination of video, audio and slides synchronized as the presenter speaks.
We strongly recommend using a WIRED connection rather than Wireless. Wireless can cause additional buffering and freezing of the video.
Streaming video and audio generally take 15 to 30 seconds to prepare to run if you have a fast Internet connection. Please be patient as Windows Media/Silverlight Player starts the video stream from our server to your computer. Audio sometimes begins 5 to 10 seconds before the video. Check that your headphones are plugged in or that your speakers are connected and turned on and adjust the volume as needed.
Some offices may experience difficulties viewing webcasts due to technical issues such as:
- Bandwidth: If two or more persons need to view the webcast at the same time at one site, they should view it from a single PC or a conference room with projection and audio capabilities.
- Firewalls: Firewalls may block video and/or audio. Check with your firewall administrator to ensure that you can view webcasts provided by the Energy Center of Wisconsin.
